Frequently Asked Questions

What is digital marketing?

Marketing is the process of connecting with your target audience at the right time and in the right place. Your efforts must focus on understanding your customers and engaging with them to build lasting relationships.

Digital marketing takes all these marketing activities to the Internet and redefines how you approach your potential clients. It will utilize the internet and online-based technologies to promote your business.

Online marketing is a constantly increasing field that helps you promote and sell products and services by leveraging digital strategies and tools such as websites, e-commerce platforms, search engine optimisation (SEO), social media marketing, email marketing, paid advertising (e.g. Google Ads), content marketing (blog, white paper, e-books).

Why is digital marketing important for my small business?

With online technology taking up more and more space in our daily lives, your business mustn’t miss out on digital marketing opportunities to reach new customers.

In 2019 there were 3.97 billion internet users worldwide compared to 1.1 billion in 2005 (wow!).

Did you know that 46.6 million people used the internet daily in the UK during 2020?

Consider that these users make up almost 70% of the UK population (66.5 million people).

In a survey conducted back in 2020 by Ofcom, they found that 60% of the 2,419 respondents stated that their smartphone was the essential device to access the internet at home and elsewhere.

These are pretty substantial numbers that show you the importance of having a well thought digital marketing presence if you are thinking of doing any business these days.

Should you use all the digital tools and channels available? Not really.

However, you must know how to match your business goals and objectives with the right Internet tools and platforms to reach your target audience and follow a clear and easy to execute strategy consistently. You can expect to see some actual results.
